Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-18

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Yiveno (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Yiveno Chrome extension, the website at yiveno.com, and related backend services (Cloudflare Workers). Yiveno helps you find what you saved: Capture with low friction, then Recall into a short list of closest fits — you choose. It is not a bookmark manager, note-taking app, chat bot, or “AI organizer” as a primary promise.

Today Yiveno is operated by an individual based in Hangzhou, China (not yet a registered company). We may later transfer operations to a company registered in Hangzhou; if that happens, we will update this Policy and the effective date. Contact: privacy@yiveno.com.

The Chrome extension is not yet listed on the Chrome Web Store for public install, and we are not yet charging the public for paid plans. Product pages may describe planned Free / Pro features; they are not a claim of a live paid customer base.

2. What we collect

2.1 On your device (default)

By default, memories you Capture (for example text excerpts, related page metadata you choose to save, and your notes) are stored in the extension’s local IndexedDB on your browser profile. Uninstalling the extension typically removes this local store.

2.2 Account (optional sign-in)

If you sign in via the website (for example Google or Microsoft through our auth provider), we process account identifiers such as user id, email, and profile fields the provider shares (for example display name or avatar URL). Signing in does not by itself upload your memories.

2.3 Cloud memory (opt-in sync)

Only after you explicitly enable cloud sync in the extension do we store text excerpts (and sync backups) in our cloud database (currently Supabase), scoped to your account. The Supabase primary database for production is in East US (Ohio), AWS region us-east-2. Bookmark entries imported from Chrome stay on this deviceand are not merged across devices through Yiveno cloud sync. Turning sync off does notautomatically delete cloud copies; you can delete cloud memories or delete your account from Settings → Data.

2.4 AI / language features

Some features (for example understanding what you typed) may send limited requests through our servers to a model provider. The model does not directly create, change, or delete what you saved. We do not default to sending your entire library to a model.

2.5 Waitlist (optional)

If you leave an email on yiveno.com to be notified when the extension is ready to install, we store that email so we can send that notice. We do not add waitlist addresses to a marketing list.

2.6 Extension uninstall feedback (optional)

When you remove the Chrome extension, Chrome may open a short page on yiveno.com (best effort; not gated on website or extension sign-in). You may optionally pick closed-set reasons and leave a short note. If a one-time uninstall token is present (you were signed in to the extension), the page also clears the extension remote session — not your website login, and not your local or cloud Memory. Feedback is optional and not tied to reinstalling. We store the reasons, note, and technical context needed to improve the product and reproduce issues (for example approximate IP, browser user-agent, language, timezone, screen size, and — if you are signed in on the website — display name and account email). Retention is short; we may email a copy to our internal feedback inbox. We do not use this form to delete your library or sign you out of the website. Bugs or account issues that need a reply should go tosupport@yiveno.com, not the optional uninstall form.

2.7 What we do not collect by default

  • Your full browsing History
  • Always-on clipboard reading
  • Full webpage content you did not actively Capture
  • Uploading memories to the cloud without enabling sync

2.8 Usage signals on your library

To improve Recall ordering on your device, Yiveno may store how you interact with saved items — for example how often you open a result, or when you dismiss “none of these.” These signals describe your relationship with your library; they are not sold as a separate product asset.

2.9 Per-item derived recall helpers

Yiveno may compute recall helpers bound to a specific saved item — for example tags or keywords inferred from its title or excerpt, or math helpers stored with the item so fuzzy finding works better. These stay with the item in your local library (and in your cloud copy if sync is on). They help retrieve your content; we do not treat them as Yiveno-owned secrets you cannot export.

3. How we use information

  • Provide Capture and Recall on your device
  • Authenticate you and optional cloud sync when you enable it
  • Operate, secure, and debug the service (including Worker logs with limited previews where needed)
  • Process subscriptions or payments if you purchase paid plans (billing records may be retained as required by law)
  • Email you if you joined the install waitlist, when a spot is available
  • Review optional uninstall feedback (closed-set reason and short note) if you choose to send it

4. Processors and subprocessors

Depending on features you use, data may be processed by:

  • Supabase — authentication, (when sync is on) cloud Memory storage, and waitlist emails if you join; production primary database region us-east-2 (East US / Ohio)
  • Cloudflare — Workers API, hosting, KV for optional uninstall feedback, Email Sending when enabled, and related infrastructure
  • Google / Microsoft — if you choose their OAuth sign-in
  • Model providers — only when an AI feature you use is routed through our Worker
  • Payment providers (Dodo Payments) — if you purchase a subscription

5. Retention and deletion

  • Local memories remain until you delete them, clear leftover account data, or remove the extension.
  • Cloud memories remain while your account exists and sync data has not been deleted; you can delete all cloud memories without deleting the account.
  • To manage storage redundancy, we may periodically prune certain cloud-related data, such as sync backups and soft-deleted billing records. For example, sync backups keep only the most recent snapshots (currently up to 5 per account), and soft-deleted subscription/payment history is removed after 180 days.
  • Waitlist emails are kept until we have notified you, you ask us to remove the address, or we no longer need the list.
  • Uninstall feedback (reason and optional note) is kept in short-lived storage for product improvement, and may also appear in our feedback email inbox. It is not tied to your account login.
  • Delete account (Settings → Data) removes cloud Memory and backups, closes the auth user, clears this account’s local Memory bucket on that device, and signs you out. Billing records may be retained in anonymized or legally required form and are not a recoverable login.

6. Data ownership and export

Yiveno is local-first: you should be able to take, clear, and leave with your library. Export is a product responsibility, not a paid perk.

  • Your content — excerpts, notes, URLs, and bookmark traces you chose to save — belongs to you.
  • Your in-library usage — open/dismiss signals and timestamps on your items — belongs to you as part of your library history.
  • Per-item recall helpers — inferred tags/keywords and matching helpers stored on an item — stay with that item in your backup; they are not withheld as separate Yiveno property.
  • Yiveno service layer — de-identified aggregate statistics or non-individualized models used to improve the product for everyone — is not included in your personal export and is cut off from you when you delete your account, to the extent we store individual links.

Full backup export (Settings → Data) downloads your current identity’s local Memory as JSON, including soft-deleted items and the fields above. A lighter “portable” export for moving to other tools may be added later; it would not replace full backup.

7. Your choices

  • Use Yiveno without signing in (local profile)
  • Sign in without enabling cloud sync
  • Enable or disable cloud sync
  • Export a full backup, delete cloud memories, or delete your account from Settings → Data
  • Review a short privacy notice in Settings → Privacy before enabling sync
  • Send optional uninstall feedback after removing the extension

8. Children

Yiveno is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Do not use the service if you are under that age.

9. International users

The operator is based in Hangzhou, China. Account data and (when sync is on) cloud Memory are stored with Supabase in the United States (primary database: East US / Ohio, us-east-2). Other processors (for example Cloudflare Workers, AI model providers, and payment providers if you purchase a plan) may process data in the United States and other locations where they operate. If you enable cloud sync or sign in, you understand your account and synced data may be stored outside your country of residence.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy as the product changes. We will update the effective date on this page. Material changes to the in-extension sync notice may require you to re-confirm before turning sync on again.
